![]() If you are having an issue browsing, perhaps an extension you are using is conflicting with the browser and/or SBIE. You could try running the browser without extensions, to see what happens. Perhaps try doing a test with a new profile. You didn't mention the browser you are using, but most browsers are A OK with Sandboxie. Sometimes antiviruses conflict with SBIE, some work better than others with SBIE. Some have a good history working with SBIE, and some don't. What you are experiencing could be caused by a AV update. A simple signature update could cause it, and be fix by another virus signature a day or days later. You could also delete sandbox contents manually if you dont have it set to be done autommatically. Many issues (that are really non issues) get fixed by just doing that. I set my everyday browser sandboxes to delete automatically. Thats really the best way to set this up. You can also create a new sandbox, and test the browsers without changing Sandbox settings. In other words, do the test with default settings. Doing this would fix your problem if your issue is being caused by a corrupted sandbox or a setting you have enabled that is causing the issue. You can upgrade over the top if you are not using this version, and perhaps it ll be best if you dont tick the option to save settings.Īnnouncing Sandboxie 5.33.6 release and open source update - Sandboxie Forum (Read Only) - Sandboxie (Read Only) - Sophos Community You didnt mention the SBIE version you are using, but this is the one you should be using in W10 with latest updates. Sorry, it took me a while to see this thread but it shouldn't be in this sub forum. The correct sub forum where Sandboxie threads should be placed is the one that has to with System Security. We are not going to discuss that here, rather we're going to look at the basic usage of the program. In other words, you will learn how to use Sandboxie for browsing securely, downloading files and recovering them, and installing/running programs inside the sandbox. You don't even need to familiarize yourself with the interface to use the program. ![]() In fact, I would recommend beginners skip the UI and use the tray icon. You can run any program that you have installed in Windows inside Sandboxie this also works with portable apps and regular files (that open in other programs). ![]() ![]() Some programs may not work with Sandboxie if you try to install them directly inside the sandbox. ![]()
